Solid Framing Engineering LLC was created by Jacob Schott, a structural engineer from Maine. His passion for wood and structural design began at an early age, when he was first introduced to woodwork by helping sort lumber at his family’s mill. This inspired the pursuit of his career and commitment to helping local contractors and clients.

Jacob Schott, PE
Licensed Structural Engineer
Mr. Schott is a licensed structural engineer based out of the State of Maine. He obtained his Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from the University of Maine and his Master’s in Civil Engineering from the University of Oklahoma.
Mr. Schott’s prior experience includes commercial, industrial and government structural design. He has worked on multiple projects for the State of Maine and for local paper mills. His existing condition assessment and evaluation skills come from a history of evaluating existing bank branches in high-seismic zones in California. Additionally, he has experience working on waterfront structures, flood retrofit projects and disaster recover projects.
